In order to interview through the Chase Career Center at the Isenberg School of Management on campus recruiting program, students must agree to abide by the following Interview Code of Honor.
*Please make note of the special statement that will apply in the event of a flu outbreak during recruiting season.*
Interview Code of Honor: I understand that missing an interview appointment, or being late, reflects badly on the Isenberg School and may damage the job search prospects of other Isenberg students in the future.
I will schedule my job interview appointments to keep the loss of time in my classes to a minimum.
I will appear on time for every interview appointment scheduled through the Isenberg School's Chase Career Center unless prevented by a serious family emergency or a serious health/safety problem.
I will treat my fellow students with respect even when we are competing for the same job.
If I accept a job offer, I will notify the Chase Career Center (rfein@som.umass.edu) within 24 hours. Further, I will withdraw from job search activities immediately, including further interviews or consideration/acceptance of another job offer. In addition, I will withdraw any active resumes that I submitted on Isenberg.experience.com
I understand that if I dishonor myself and ISOM by violating this Interview Code of Honor, the Chase Career Center may impose a penalty, irrespective of cause or reason. The Chase Career Center may remove me from future interviews (even those already scheduled) and/or inactivate my isenberg.experience.com account. I understand that the Undergraduate Dean of the School of Management or the Director of the MBA Graduate Program may be notified.
By submitting even one resume through the Chase Career Center, I signify acceptance of all the responsibilities incumbent upon me through the Interview Code of Honor.
**A special statement about a possible flu outbreak: If there is an outbreak of flu during on-campus interviewing season, the Chase Career Center will be more lenient about missed interviews. No one should put their health or the health of others at risk to attend a job interview. However, we anticipate that Isenberg students will not abuse this leniency by missing job interviews unless their health and/or safety would be at risk. If you do fall ill, we expect that you will inform scheduled interviewers and Richard Fein in the Chase Career Center (rfein@som.umass.edu)**
